Youth Development Goals

Founded in 2018 by the Ivy Council, the Youth Development Goals (YDGs) aim to emulate the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals from the perspective of global youth. Bringing together youth leaders and organizations from around the world, we aim to establish a common platform for collaboration and knowledge-sharing, so that our united efforts will lead to broader shared progress in the areas most important to the development of youth.

The ten YDGs were developed collectively by youth leaders around the world and include:

1. Inclusive Internet for Responsible Netizens
2. Energy Security
3. 21st Century Education
4. Holistic Wellbeing and Nutrition
5. Gender Equality and Support
6. Intercultural Dialogue
7. Community-Centered Entrepreneurship
8. Promotion of Diversity and Non-Discrimination
9. Youth Civic Engagement
10. Right to Dream

Youth Development Goals

The Youth Development Goals include pressing challenges that youth around the world face in their daily lives. Work on the YDGs focuses on a three-pronged approach of advocacy, community projects, and NGO engagement.

YDG Global Network

By tackling these global issues through local projects, the YDG Global network empowers youth around the world to advance the YDGs. Partner NGOs and members of the YDG Global Network receive resources and training to implement projects, as well as a platform to raise awareness about their efforts.

Let’s create tomorrow’s leaders for a brighter future
