Ivy Scholars Initiative

The Ivy Scholars Initiative and Ivy Fellowship strive to nurture the talents of promising students who are underserved by their communities. By collaborating with community leaders and various organizations, we have a dedicated team that mentors a selected group of students on every step of their academic journeys. The Ivy Fellowship is inspired by Prime Minister Tony Blair’s 1996 education manifesto, which put “Education, Education, and Education” as the top priority of government.

The Challenge

Despite the monumental leaps in educational quality, the accessibility of online learning platforms, and the rise in global literacy rates, the academic sphere still suffers from immense inequity. Underprivileged students are largely left out and are unable to keep up with the superior resources of their counterparts. The Ivy Scholars Initiative remedies this by closing the gap between these two groups and personalizing roadmaps for each student.

Our Work

The Ivy Scholars Initiative has a comprehensive program for providing support to high-aiming students in which mentors are assigned to each student and help them strategize about their futures. These programs are centered on the EDU3 Fellowship, which is open to all middle school and high school students who aspire to achieve more through education.

Ivy Fellowship

The primary goal of the Ivy Fellowship is to equip students with a strong foundation when applying to college and to ensure that they succeed once accepted. Each fellow will receive a specific plan assembled for them in which the mentor will support their academic progress, channel their interests, find relevant extracurricular activities to get involved in, and guide them through the actual application process. Community Leader Capstone

Each fellow will have the opportunity to lead a project of their choice that gives back to the community. The entire resources and connections of the Ivy Council will be available to them and university students will volunteer and help manage their initiative. This will expose Ivy Fellows to leadership and reinforce our core ethical values of giving back and uplifting others.

Holistic Education

A key element of becoming a knowledgable individual is to be aware of the literature, philosophy, science, history, and art that defines human civilization. The Ivy Fellowship aims to fuel curiosity by hosting symposiums centered on the captivating and paradigm-shifting topics in these fields. Each student will be able to access the Knowledge Center in which experts from the Ivy League and Ivy+ universities will provide tailored support for every subject that fellows may need help with.

Socratic Seminars

Ivy Fellows will be invited to participate in Socratic Seminars facilitated by leading professors and scholars in various fields. Rather than traditional lectures, Socratic Seminars encourage students to actively participate, question, and discuss topics with the goal of collective learning and growth. Fellows will also be invited to attend the Ivy Council’s conferences and have the opportunity to interact with leaders in business, politics, academia, non-profits, tech, and more.
